ARX Robotics builds autonomous ground vehicles and the Mithra OS software stack for European armed forces, and is investing £45M in a UK manufacturing facility. They're hiring a Staff Engineer, Vehicle Integration Lead to take customer vehicles from OEM feasibility studies through to field-tested autonomous systems, based in London on a hybrid basis. This hardware engineering role sits within the UK's defence technology sector.
As our Vehicle Integration Lead, you will be the technical authority responsible for making customer vehicles a safe, reliable, and integral part of our Mithra OS ecosystem. Mithra is our ARX Software Stack that transforms legacy fleets with AI-driven autonomy and standardized software, ensuring seamless integration and unmatched adaptability for complex missions. You will own the entire technical journey, from initial feasibility studies with vehicle OEMs to the final commissioning and field testing of fully integrated autonomous systems.
This is a deeply hands-on systems engineering role for someone who loves to bridge the gap between complex machinery and intelligent software. You will be accountable for the entire vehicle platform—spanning mechanical, electrical, and software domains—ensuring that every vehicle we touch is a robust, testable, and mission-ready asset.
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
