Isometric is a London-based carbon removal registry that verifies and certifies durable carbon removals to a scientific standard. They're hiring a Data Centre Consultant on a remote contract to assess the energy and emissions profile of data centre infrastructure. This operations role sits within the UK's climate and carbon measurement sector.
Isometric is the AI-native certifier of climate solutions.
We combine scientific rigor with best-in-class technology to unlock the capital and trust needed to reverse climate change.
Our customers, including Microsoft and Google, trust us to help them avoid greenwashing.
We’re looking for doers with a bias to action. Our team is brilliant and cares (a lot).
Join us for the most impactful role of your career—and the best job you’ve ever had.
Bring data centre expertise to a fast-moving new domain. Help us go 0→1 on data centre sustainability. You'll be our in-house authority on how data centres actually consume energy, manage cooling, and account for their carbon—and you'll bring the rigour and defensibility Isometric is known for.
Run deep discovery with operators, buyers and the market. Get out and talk to hyperscalers, colocation providers, energy teams and corporate buyers. Map where today's reporting and certification falls short, where the real measurement problems live, and where a trustworthy registry can change the game.
Pressure-test what good looks like. Work with our science, product and commercial teams to explore how data centre sustainability could be measured and verified more rigorously. Stress-test ideas against real facilities and data, and learn fast from operators and buyers.
Help us win the first customers. Work alongside the commercial team to frame the value prop, get in front of operators and buyers, and translate technical rigour into reports and assessments that decision-makers trust and pay for. You're as comfortable producing the work as you are selling why it matters.
Deep data centre fluency. You understand how data centres work at a technical level (power draw, cooling, PUE/WUE, grid interconnection and energy procurement) ideally from time spent operating, designing, advising or auditing facilities.
Carbon and energy accounting rigour. You're fluent in GHG accounting (Scope 1/2/3), embodied vs. operational emissions, and the hard parts: market vs. location-based methods, 24/7 carbon-free energy matching, and where the numbers get gamed.
A track record of real delivery. You've produced work the industry takes seriously. You helped data centers secure permits & certifications, pass audits, and write sustainability reports—or you've consulted closely enough to do so.
High agency, commercially minded. You can independently figure out a new area and drive it forward under high ambiguity, with a strong bias to action. You're obsessive about discovery and you're a compelling partner to the commercial team in framing the offer and winning over first customers.
Isometric was founded in 2022 by Eamon Jubbawy, who previously co-founded Onfido where he served as COO and President, scaling the company to verify over one billion identities before its $650M acquisition by Entrust. Jubbawy studied Economics and Management at Keble College, Oxford. Isometric addresses trust in the carbon removal market through an AI-native science platform that issues monthly certificates with real-time expert verification, maintains a comprehensive registry with full evidence documentation, and operationalises verification protocols. The company serves major enterprises including Google, Microsoft, Shopify, Anglo American, and Molten, and maintains a network of over 400 scientists and ecosystem partners. Isometric raised $25M in seed funding co-led by Plural and Lowercarbon Capital, with participation from angel investors including Niklas Zennstrom (Skype), David Helgason (Unity), and Ilkka Paananen (Supercell).
