Helsing builds AI software for defence, developing real-time sensor fusion and autonomous decision-making systems for European armed forces. They're hiring a Technical Recruiter, Fixed-term contract (6 months), based in London. This people & hr role sits within the UK's growing technology sector.
Helsing is a defence AI company. Our mission is to protect our democracies. We aim to achieve technological leadership, so that open societies can continue to make sovereign decisions and control their ethical standards.
As democracies, we believe we have a special responsibility to be thoughtful about the development and deployment of powerful technologies like AI. We take this responsibility seriously.
We are an ambitious and committed team of engineers, AI specialists and customer-facing programme managers. We are looking for mission-driven people to join our European teams – and apply their skills to solve the most complex and impactful problems. We embrace an open and transparent culture that welcomes healthy debates on the use of technology in defence, its benefits, and its ethical implications.
As Helsing continues to scale at a rapid pace, you will be a vital part of our growth as a member of our Software Talent Team responsible for sourcing, attracting and closing candidates across roles such as Software Engineer, Deployed AI Engineer, AI Engineer and a breadth of other technical positions.
Whether it's a Software Engineer to work on the autonomous software solutions powering CA-1, AI Research Engineers developing Altra, our Recce-Strike Software Platform or Deployed AI Engineers working directly in the field on our Land and Maritime products, you'll be directly contributing to the success of all of this and more with the exceptional hires you make.
You will provide expert knowledge in candidate generation techniques. This role is for someone who loves the hands-on nature of hiring exceptional candidates, and who combines the creative and the persistence when it comes to proactive outreach campaigns.
To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrable experience hiring Software Engineers for deep-tech, highly innovative companies across Europe. This role will require you to be office based, at least a couple of days a week, in either our Munich or London office.
The suitable candidate will thrive in the pace of Helsing, and wants to add value through making exceptional hires at volume. This is a completely hands-on role; if the thought of sending 100s of messages and doing a high volume of screening calls each week doesn't appeal, then this isn't the role for you.
Source candidates for a variety of different technical roles across the Software stack
Create and execute on hiring strategies to ensure we hire with both quality and speed in mind
Own creative campaigns to deliver exceptional quality and quantity of Software candidates
Take full 360 ownership of delivering hires against the priority roles you will work on
Utilise data to improve hiring efficiencies and spot any blockers early
Note: The above bullet points describe the ideal candidate. None of us matched all of these at once when we first joined Helsing. We encourage you to apply even if you believe you meet only part of our wish list.
A focus on outcomes, not time-tracking
Competitive compensation and stock options
Relocation support
Social and education allowances
Regular company events and all-hands to bring together employees as one team across Europe
